Looking to direct your direct mail campaign at college students? The database at www.CampusParty.com. contains information on over five million college students, with the capability to sort them by year and major. In addition, nearly one million college students receive e-mail from this website. You cannot fail to reach your intended audience with this fabulous new resource.
While e-mail can be a wonderful marketing tool, it can also be the bane of our existence. Have you ever e-mailed a message to someone only to regret it two minutes after hitting the send button? Well, why not make it go away? No, you no longer have to be Houdini to make this disappearing act happen. Just visit www.disappearing.com. While the e-mail may be read first, it will disappear on a pre-determined expiration date. The technology was created with corporate liability in mind because, often, old e-mail messages will show up in court cases.
Are you in the mood for a summer barbecue? You may be after visiting www.3men.com/barbecue.htmWith a variety of great grilling recipes, your friends, co-workers, and family will think that you are the Barron of Barbecue. Then they will forget all about those e-mails you accidentally sent them.

prose from the pros
PTA Faith recently spoke with Molly Young, Senior Guest Coordinator of "The 700 Club", on how she books guests on this top national Christian show. Here's what she had to say:
- How do you select guests for the show?
It's a combination of keeping up with what's in the news, hot topics (Survivor), books/press kits from publicists, viewer mail and referrals from senior producers. - What topics and/or stories are you most interested in?
Inspirational stories of people's personal faith-how this changed their lives and can be an encouragement to our audience. Also, in-studio demonstrations, such as, cooking and some live animals, fitness, etc. - Do you take mainstream guests? Do you need a Christian angle for a mainstream guest?
Yes, we have mainstream guests, i.e. Survivor participant, Mr. Food, etc. A Christian angle helps; it really depends on the topic-good tax advice is good tax advice, but lifestyle advice needs a Christian angle. Guests we would not have on are guests known to have lifestyles outside generally accepted Christian guidelines. - As the top national Christian show, how many publicity packages are you bombarded with each day?
We average 400 pieces of mail a week with half of that being books and press kits. We put on 5 guests a week. - What is your lead-time?
About 4-6 weeks, although like any show we do have holes and cancellations. - What's the best way to pitch you a guest?
Send the book and press kit. Then follow up in 7-10 days with a phone call or e-mail.
