Deborah Kohan
Vice President
Director of PTA en Espaņol
Deborah Kohan is Vice President and Director of PTA en Espaņol at Planned Television Arts. Since joining PTA in 1994, Deborah has coordinated publicity campaigns for various health, consumer, and publishing clients including the Cleveland Clinic Press, Castle Connolly Medical (“America’s Top Doctors” Lists), Jewish National Fund, Jack Klugman, Janet Evanovich (St. Martin’s), Dean Koontz (Bantam), Sophie Kinsella (Dial), General Tommy Franks (Harper Collins), Senator John Edwards (Harper Collins) and several authors from Harlequin Publishers.
In addition to running media campaigns for various corporate and publishing clients, Deborah is leading PTA's Spanish media division, PTA en Espaņol. This division offers all the elements of a traditional publicity campaign (Print, Radio and Television) tailored for the Spanish language media. PTA's signature services - the Morning Drive Radio Tour and Satellite TV Tour - have been adapted to target Spanish language radio and TV stations. She and her team have successfully maximized exposure in the Latino market for such clients as People En Espaņol (which they helped launch in 1996), newscaster Jorge Ramos, Isabel Allende, the Christopher and Dana Reeve Paralysis Resource Center (RuderFinn).
Prior to joining PTA, Deborah worked at Carol Publishing Group and the advertising agency, Laurence, Charles, Free and Lawson.
Deborah received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Binghamton and resides in Long Island with her husband and two children.
